Britney Spears was born on December 2, 1982 in the small town of Kentwood, Lousianna.  But that town would prove to be too small for her.  Britney would begin her quest for stardom with an appearance on the talent show Star Search and then would audition for the Disney Channel's "The New Mickey Mouse Club", but be turned down because at eight years old, they thought she was too young.  But after meeting a producer at the audition that would lead to young Brit getting a New York agent, which would lead to several TV commercials and a stint in off-Broadway plays.

But Britney's life would change when she was finally cast on the Mickey Mouse Club, at age eleven.  While on the show she would work with future pop stars Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez both from *NSYNC, as well as future pop star rival Christina Aguilera.  That show would be canceled after its second season.  But this didn't keep Britney down.  By the time she was 15, she was recording tracks for her debut CD, which would forever change her life.

In 1998, Jive Records would release her debut single "...Baby One More Time" which shot to the top of the Billboard charts.  The full length CD would wind up selling over 13 million copies worldwide.  Now an international celebrity she would get to work on the follow up record "Oops I Did It Again".  During the time recording that CD, rumors was starting to be heard that Britney was involved with Justin Timberlake.  The pair confirmed they were dating which only helped her CD sell nine million copies.

In 2001, would shock her audience a bit with the release of the song "I'm A Slave 4 U".  The raunchy song was included on the CD, simply titled "Britney" which would be her third consecutive CD to debut at number one.

The following year Britney would make her feature film debut in the movie "Crossroads", which was panned by critics.  The year would continue to be a depressing one for Britney as her romance with Justin was ending.  Her latest CD only managed to sell about four million copies and then Justin would go on to make a video for his song "Cry Me A River", which included a Britney look-alike.  Britney would later talk about the video and talk about her dislike for it.  In that interview Britney would wind up crying on camera.

But things would improve in 2003, when Britney released the CD "In The Zone", which featured a duet with Madonna.  The CD would again top the charts all around the world.

While Britney has made lots of great music, she has also made great headlines in tabloids.  Whether it was kissing Madonna during a performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, or her 55 hour marriage in Las Vegas, the press was hot for anything about Britney.

Britney Spears became a tabloid Queen after her marriage to Kevin Federline.  The pair had two children together before divorcing.  Spears made lots of headlines for shaving her head to partying to Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton.  In early 2008, she once again hit the front page when she was taken out of her L.A. in an ambulance for evaulation at a hospital after police were called to her home.
